Late 2017, I was working a long-term position at Canale Comm in San Diego. One of my first assignments was to set up a website for a specific event. Canale Comm was sending a select group to represent them at a very significant event in San Francisco. Events like these are important for creative agencies. It’s a key opportunity to build a trusting relationship with current and future clients.
The description of design elements will be described in the order in which they appear on the page.
Neon Signs
Our creative team assembled neon signs highlighting the name of our RSVP event. The neon lights even show a glow on your computer screen. The effect is very conspicuous, grabbing your focus for more than a couple seconds.
Pure CSS Button
Next, I created a pure CSS/HTML link that will scroll the user to the “RSVP” section of the page. As the element is purely CSS, it loads very quickly. This allows the site visitor to navigate quickly if they are in a rush.
Original Photography
We then prepared the main photo which featured CEO Carin Canale. I love this photo because it has a very personalized and authentic feel, unlike stock photography. How exciting to be able to meet the star of this site if you go to the event later!
RSVP Form
After a description of the event, an RSVP form is noticeable. The form is stylish and mobile optimized. The RSVP form submits button, in particular, has some great animations that are also purely CSS/HTML for fast loading.
Work Examples
The final section of the page displays some mouse-over links which will direct you to other sites built by Canale Comm. Not only do these sites showcase some fantastic work done by Canale Comm, but they also boost client SEO.
